Title: So This is Love
Artist: Disney (Cinderella)
With: 10 plays

So this is love
So this is love
So this is what makes life devine

I’m all aglow
And now I know
The key to all heaven is mine

My heart has wings
and I can fly
I’ll touch every star in the sky

So this is the miracle
that I’ve been dreaming of
So this is love

Venue option 1 - Meyer’s Castle

Josh and I were able to visit Meyer’s Castle in Dyer this past weekend - while it was set up for two weddings! I think Meyer’s Castle is a definite contender for our reception. We’d need their larger ballroom and I think we’d still need to make some cuts to the guest list. It was really beautiful, though! They just installed a canopy ceiling which really opened the area up. There was beautiful hardwood floor throughout so no need to rent a dance floor. There was also a nice outdoor terrace right off the room where two full bars would be set up along with cocktail tables. One part of the visit I wasn’t too fond of, however, was the lady we met with. We were trying to set up a date for an actual appointment and she was SO PUSHY. We kept saying the date/times she wanted would NOT work for us and it was like she didn’t care or wasn’t listening. That was really irritating. Hopefully we can meet with someone else when we go back for our appointment.

This is what the smaller ballroom at Meyer’s Castle looks like. So, imagine that bigger, more open, hardwood floors throughout and sliding glass doors leading out to a beautiful stone terrace. The bigger room is a brighter space too so it’s not as dark and castle-y.

Here we go!

Originally, this blog was intended to be somewhat of an online scrapbook of sorts for Josh and I. I envisioned it to be an organizational tool in our wedding planning process and something we could look back on when everything’s done. Buuut then I thought, why not share it? So, we’ll be posting, well, whatever we want really - our lives throughout the planning, what we’d love to have for the wedding, how venue meetings go, etc.

Here’s a little background to get you started (how I see it) :

Josh: 22 year old management fellow at Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Recent Wabash College grad. Tall, dark and handsome. Loves sports, music and food.

Nora: 21 year old student at Purdue University studying communication. I love seeing other people happy and love hanging out with our dog.

Together: We’ve been together for about 3 years. We met 2 weeks before Josh left for college and I was going into my senior year of high school. We love to cook, go out, watch movies, and whatever else we feel like doing or getting into. We have a 76lb Pitbull mix named Zeppelin and he’s our pride and joy.
